Prof. Tavil and Her Medical Team

Prof. Dr. Betül Tavil, born on April 15th, 1973, is a distinguished figure in the field of pediatric hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. With a profound commitment to advancing healthcare, her journey in the medical field has been marked by dedication and expertise.

Dr. Tavil embarked on her medical career by graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1996. Her passion for pediatrics led her to complete her pediatric residency education at Dr. Sami Ulus Children's Hospital from 1997 to 2001. Subsequently, she continued to serve as a pediatrician at the same hospital from 2001 to 2004.

Recognizing the importance of specialization, Dr. Tavil pursued a pediatric hematology fellowship at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Pediatric Hematology Unit, from 2004 to 2007. Her thirst for knowledge and dedication to her field further drove her to expand her horizons. She spent a year at Ankara Oncology Education and Training Hospital and dedicated three years to Ankara Children's Hematology and Oncology Hospital.

Since 2012, Dr. Tavil has been a vital part of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Pediatric Hematology Unit, where her expertise shines in the realm of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Her extensive body of work includes numerous national and international publications related to pediatric hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Outside of her illustrious medical career, Dr. Tavil balances her life as a dedicated mother and spouse, embodying the values of both a compassionate healthcare professional and a caring family member.
